Show Day 2022
Acknowledgement of Achievement
What a wonderful day our Show Day was on Saturday 29th October 2022 😊.
The school acknowledges students, parents, whānau, staff, Board and our community for contributing to the success of our day.
The school acknowledges our lamb / goat judge Avon. Avon has been judging at Whakamārama School for 18 years. She was delighted to judge for her final time at Whakamārama, giving her the opportunity to say her farewells and wish us all the best for the future.
The school acknowledges Roger. Roger has been judging our small animal section since 2018 and oh my word - what a super job he does! He spends his time chatting away to the pet owners and listening carefully to what they know about their pet and how they care for their animal.
It was a pleasure to have Grant, an ex pupil of Whakamārama School, awarding the ribbons in the show day ring. It was heartwarming to have his support whilst visiting home from Africa.

School Speeches / Poetry Recitals
September 2022
From selecting a poem or getting an idea, to conquering stage fright, learners across the school earned the admiration of their teachers, peers and judges with their speech or poetry recital presentations. Ngā mihi ki a kōrua Sharon and Colleen for judging the poetry recitals and Year 4 speeches. Ngā mihi ki a koe Stephen Hall (DP, Omokoroa Point School) for uniting with us to judge the Year 5-8 tamariki who chose to be formally judged in order to move through to the North Cluster or Tall Poppies school cluster events.
