On a rainy Friday afternoon we ventured over to the hall and practised our balancing skills with Sandy. Here you can see us using our bodies to balance in different ways- we had so much fun!
We were extremely lucky to have Sandy from the GO4it programme visit us today to take us for this year's first session. We worked on balance which involved lots of careful concentration, aeroplane arms and eyes focussing on a point that doesn't move. We played lots of fun games that helped us to practise these skills. Check us out!
In the past three days we have been so busy creating rules, a treaty, self portraits, and goals along with many other things.
Check out our self portraits that we created of our first day of school of 2017. Aren't we gorgeous?
We also co-constructed a treaty (pictured below). This was our way of creating rules that we think are important and want to follow so that our classroom is a safe and enjoyable place to learn and grow together. We showed our commitment to following the treaty with our thumbprints.
Our First Swim of 2017
Refreshing, invigorating and revitalizing are just a few words to describe our first swimming session of the year.We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and cannot wait for our swimming session with a coach from Swim Safe NZ next week!
On Friday afternoon we had a rather cute visitor come to play. Meet Charlie, Stuart's new foxy cross terrier puppy. We had lots of fun playing with him and enjoyed his snuggly cuddles. We learnt about the important and demanding duties that come with owning a puppy and how much time and love they need. Stuart does a wonderful job feeding Charlie and loves their playtime together. Thank you to Stuart and his family for allowing us to meet, cuddle and learn about Charlie!
